How Matriom collects, uses and protects your data.
Last updated: October 2026Matriom values the security of users' personal data and takes all necessary technical and administrative measures in accordance with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR and KVKK). By using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Matriom may collect the following data:
• Name and surname
• Email address
• Date of birth
• Occupation and education level (optional, to personalize your analyses)
• User-generated analysis data
• Device information and app usage statistics (via Firebase Analytics)
Collected data is used solely for the following purposes:
• Generating personal analyses
• Improving app performance and user experience
• Sending system and notification messages
• Fulfilling legal obligations
Push Notification Targeting: To deliver relevant notifications, Matriom uses your age group, gender, country, and app language to segment notification audiences via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) topics. This segmentation is used exclusively for sending appropriate in-app notifications and is never shared with advertisers or third parties. To deliver notifications at a convenient time, Matriom also uses a numerical summary of the hours at which you open the app (hour of day only — not what you do in the app). You can manage notification preferences at any time in Settings → Notifications.
All personal data is stored on secure, encrypted Firebase (Google) servers. Data is retained until the user's account is deleted. Users may delete their account and all associated data at any time from the Settings section of the app.
Matriom does not sell or share your personal data with third parties. The following services are used for app operations:
• Firebase (Google) – authentication, database, analytics
• Google Play / App Store – payment processing
Data may be disclosed only when required by law.
Under applicable data protection laws (GDPR Articles 15-20), you have the right to:
• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to data processing
• Data portability: download a complete copy of your data as a JSON/HTML file via Settings → Privacy → "Download My Data" in the Matriom app (limited to one download per week to prevent abuse)

You can delete your Matriom account and all associated data at any time by following these steps:
1. Open the Matriom app
2. Tap Profile (bottom navigation)
3. Scroll to the bottom
4. Tap "Delete My Account"
5. Confirm deletion
Data deleted immediately upon request:
• Profile information (name, date of birth, gender)
• All personal analyses and history
• Credits, streak data, and preferences
• Firebase Authentication record
Retention after deletion: Your profile, analyses, saved people, credits and sign-in record are deleted immediately. Purchase and gift records are kept for 3 years to meet financial audit obligations (Turkish Tax Procedure Law / KVKK); they contain no analyses or readings. Anonymized crash logs (Firebase Crashlytics) may be retained by Google per their data retention policy. To prevent abuse, after deletion an irreversible hash of your email and non-identifying statistics (e.g. membership type, number of analyses) may be retained.
